Hi my name is Rachel! 


I'm the founder of Cats4Healh and typically go under the name Rachel Pawers! 

I write everything you see onCats4Health to help people understand what the benefits of owning an animal can be regarding your mental health. I'm a full-time college student and suffer from anxiety and am consistently stressed out. I have a major in business administration and a minor in psychology which allows to me exhibit my knowledge on the brain and why people suffer from mental illnesses. I've always been extremely interested in psychology and the idea that everyone around you is constantly going through something. I have always been drawn to cats and those have always been my favorite animal ever since I was young. My main goal of this blog page is to promote the benefits of what having a cat can do to a person's mental state.

What is so Special about this Bag? 

This tote bag for Cats4Health is beyond important to the company. With every purchase we make half of the proceeds are donated to local animal shelters. Ever since I created this business I've loved animals and have always had a really strong connection with them.  It felt like my purpose in life to create something that will help make a difference. That is when I created Cats4Health. 
 
Seeing animals provide so much care to humans that are struggling with their mental health is such a beautiful thing to witness. Years ago people would've never thought that an animal such as a cat can provide so much comfort to a human. When I was struggling with my mental health I tried endless types of therapy's and nothing was working. I lived alone and didn't really have that many friends around me so one day I decided to get a kitten. After getting a kitten I started to see my mental health improve and I wanted to fully look into this idea of animal therapy. 

Giving my readers full transparity makes it easier for me to be vulnerable with them. Mental health is a sensitive topic and it's not easy to be transparent with it. Cats4Health is a safe space for everyone and I really hope you look into purchasing a tote bag!

The main pattern you see on this tote bag is of a cat peaking his head over a wall of cement. When deciding on an image for Cats4Health I knew I wanted to use some type of picture whether than just a sentence of words. I wanted Cats4Health to be unique and have some type of picture associated with the name. 

It took me days to find the right type of picture I wanted. I have three cats of my own so I orignally wanted to just use a picture of them, but I don't have the most aetheicly pleasing pictures of them...A lot of the pictures I have of them look something like this....

Anyways! Yes those are pictures of my three cats BUT in all seriousness I ended up finding the cat picture online and was immediately drawn to it. I liked how simple it looked and I figured I should have a cat be shown in the logo since our company name is Cats4Health....
