Series of Links

As for the sneeze blog post, I'd like to end the series of blog posts with admiring some of my favorite links that have been highlighted throughout this blog page. I think when looking at a blog, it can sometimes be overwhelming with seeing so much information on a website. I tried to make my blog simple and easy to read and I really hope that was achieved to the readers. To start off, the "Dr Boris Levinson" blog post I wrote has a link attached to that. I think with starting a blog revolving therapy, it's good to give credit to the creator behind animal therapy. This link shows the history of Levinson and how much of an impact he had on the psychology world. Now moving on, "Correlation between cats and mental health" is the very first blog post I ever wrote. If you take time out of your day to re-read that blog post it really shows how far this business has come. I think understanding how cats and mental health even relate the slightest

Debate Time

It's good to look at both sides to every scenario. In this case I would like to debate a topic revolving around animal therapy. Should animal therapy be as popular as animal therapy? Looking at it from one side, people could say that yes! animal therapy should be as common as animal therapy. When going to a therapy service you should always have the option to either chose between regular therapy and animal therapy. As for Cats4Health, we're very much in favor of this option and obviously lean towards that side. Now on the other hand, there's going to be many people that disagree with this statement and believe that animal therapy is a luxury and shouldn't be as accessible as regular therapy. Since animal therapy is still new a lot move psychologists don't know much about it and simply don't agree with the idea of animals helping a person's mental health. This is where you must fully understand yourself and chose a therapy that you think will benefit you in t

What if Animals Were Never Created?

Since Cats4Health is a therapy business surrounding animals, I think it may be quite interesting to look at a hypothetical idea. What if animals were never created? I think humans don't realize how much of an impact animals have on us. We see them constantly which can become somewhat part of our daily routines. I see ants roaming the ground, birds flying, and even an annoying fly roaming my house. Animals so small have such a big impact on the world. Now when we look at animal therapy, if animals were never created, there would be no animal therapy. Animals create a type of comfort that I truly don’t believe you can always achieve with a human. Animals are entirely non-judgmental, and they have such a calming essence to them. While looking at larger animals, the world relies of off certain animals to function correctly. For example, elephants create a source of water for other species and even bees help with pollution. It's quite special to see such a small a

Animal Therapy vs. Regular Therapy

Animal therapy and regular therapy has a lot of similarities and differences. In this specific scenario "regular therapy" is simply just when a therapist talks to someone one on one. There are hundreds of different types of therapy options but I'm going to be comparing animal therapy vs. regular therapy.  1.      First, both types of therapy cost roughly around the same. Therapy isn't cheap and a lot of the time it can be looked upon as an investment. You are paying someone or something to help improve your mental health. In this case, both therapy options are quite expensive. Typically, the price will vary depending on where you live and who you choose to go to. 2.      Second, there is a big comparison between these two types of therapies. Animal therapy contains animals and regular therapy is a service with a therapist. Within animal therapy most of the time the patients don't typically talk to the animals. This type of therapy is more of

Inspiration for My Readers

When struggling with your mental health it can sometimes be extremely discouraging when nothing feels like it’s working. I've been struggling with my mental health for years now, and I've tried many different options. When researching different types of options for my mental health, therapy was constantly an option that kept reoccurring. I decided to give therapy a chance and started going to see a therapist weekly. In my opinion, talking with a therapist daily didn't seem to improve my mental health. I know it takes many tries to find the right therapist, but with every single therapist I tried, I just wasn't connecting with any of them. This was when I investigated animal therapy and instantly fell in love with it. Sometimes people operate differently, and certain therapy options don't work for everyone. Animal therapy helped my mental health immensely and this is what made me want to start my own business surrounding it. Since there are hundred

Is There a Problem with Animal Therapy?

Ever since I've created Cats4Health, I've talked to and ran into a lot of people that don't necessarily agree with the idea of animal therapy. Animal therapy has an immense number of benefits to a person's mental health, but there are some problems with it that I'd like to discuss. One of the main problems of animal therapy consists of the cost of it. Animal therapy isn't as common as regular therapy so a lot of the time it's rare to find a therapy establishment that offers this service. Over the past decade animal therapy has become more prevalent, but many facilities that offer animal therapy may be out of people's price range. Another problem with animal therapy is the safety of the animals and even the people involved. Injuries can happen such as a fall, bite, and even a scratch. Animals are unpredictable and you can't fully control the behavior of animals. Cats4Health has professional people that train the animals to make sure that they are on t
